Relax and enjoy the charms of downtown Mystic. Set on the historic property of Captain William Morgan, an 18th-century sea captain, the Carriage House is tucked into a private, quiet, Norman Rockwell-like setting, just a 3 minute walk to the heart of Mystic. Next door is the Capt. Morgan House, on its own lot, sleeping up to 10.
Leave your car behind and explore Mystic on foot, by bike, or by kayak, or simply unwind on your private brick terrace surrounded by English gardens. Restaurants, spas, and shops are all an easy walk away. I am also happy to help you create a customized getaway package. Over the years, the Carriage House has hosted bridal showers, small weddings, honeymoons, girls’ weekends, and writers’ retreats
The Mystic River is just a street away, and you can catch a view of the Bascule Bridge when it’s raised. You’ll hear boat whistles, church bells, and the familiar sea sounds that make Mystic feel like Mystic. You’re also a short drive to Mystic Seaport Museum, Mystic Aquarium, Olde Mistick Village, and nearby favorites like the Mystic River Bascule Bridge, the Argia Mystic Cruises, Bluff Point State Park, and Williams Beach.
They are also just a short drive from some of Rhode Island’s most beautiful coastal beaches, including Napatree Point, Watch Hill Beach, East Beach, and Misquamicut State Beach.
